Best place to watch World Juniors in Oakville

UPDATE: Team Canada – World Juniors – Oakville Ontario.

Everyone loves this time of year.  Spending time with friends and family, having great holiday dinners and of course the gift exchanges.  Thanks Mom,  I needed another pair of socks.

Let’s face it, Christmas is the most wonderful time of year because of the one thing and one thing only.  HOCKEY.

Canada must be the only nation on earth who can’t wait to watch the IIHF World Junior Tournament.  It’s hosted almost exclusively in Canada (or a major city close to the Canadian border).  The largest crowds we see on TV when the tournament is hosted in Europe (like this year) are full of Red and White jerseys cheering on Team Canada.

It’s time to get off the couch and join a larger crowd to sing our national anthem and scream Go Canada Go!  The place to be is Monaghan’s Sports Pub and Grill in Oakville.

If you were lucky enough to snag a table or bar stool at Monaghan’s during the Raptors playoff run you know what we are talking about.  It was so loud, crazy and every great D-play, three point or slam dunk we thought the roof at Monaghan’s was going to blow off.

Let’s make some more noise for the 2020 World Juniors Team Canada this week!

You may not have known, but Team Canada had it’s training camp here in Oakville and there was over 1,000 people who attended both exhibition games and Monaghan’s was the “pre” and “post” place to have a some great food and an ice cold beer to discuss Team Canada.
