The Leafs Stanley cup Past
From 1962 to 1967 the Toronto Maple Leafs dominated the playoffs taking home the Stanley Cup for 4 consecutive seasons. The last game of the team’s winning streak coming from the 1967 win. After losing the series opener to the Canadians 6-2 the Leafs came back with a vengeance winning the game 2 3-0. April 25 brought in the third game of the series with Captain George Armstrong and company taking home their second win 3-2 at home. Their next home game didn’t go as smoothly as they lost on April 27th with another 6-2 loss. April 29th found the Leafs in Montreal taking a 4-1 win back to Toronto with them. The final game of the series came on May 2nd 1967 with the Toronto Maple leafs battling hard at home to walk away with a 3-1 win over the Montreal Canadians, and a 4-2 series win over all. This season hold promise for all Toronto Maple Leaf fans as the Leafs have 19 games under their belt scoring a total of 24 points with 12 wins. Coming in a close second to the Tampa Bay Lightning who have 14 wins this season with 30 points.
